Since Knowle West Media Centre began life in 1996, our work has been about helping people of all ages make positive changes in their lives and neighbourhoods.

We support people to go further in learning, get into work, set up campaigns in the community, and get involved in the decisions that affect them. We’re a Media Centre because we use technology and the arts to make these things happen.

Our current work includes:

  • Our Young People’s Programme, which supports 9-25 year olds to learn digital media skills and take their next step in education, employment and confidence.
  • Our Green & Digital Programme, which includes projects that are exploring solar power and energy reduction – helping people reduce their impact on the environment.
  • Our Business Programme, which is helping people make a living by doing things they love – using digital manufacturing technology to make beautiful products and transform old objects into something new.

With your help we can continue to provide dynamic arts projects that make a real difference - and expand our work to reach more people.
