Card Set: Tips & Tricks for Academics
This variant is currently sold out.
Thought-provoking and beautifully illustrated, Tips & Tricks are a series of recommendations for academics working with communities, inspired by our conversations with academics and women activists from Knowle West, Bristol.
Use them to broaden your understanding of issues that can affect communities and to help you develop relationships with your beneficiaries and stakeholders that are meaningful and collaborative.
Whether you’re part of an academic institution, small business, charity or large enterprise, we hope the cards will inspire you to develop work that not only meets your aims but addresses local needs and issues and leads to meaningful change.
Each pack of Tips & Tricks contains 25 cards: 20 'Tips & Tricks', 2 explanation cards, and 3 blank cards for you to create your own.
The pack is accompanied by an educational resource which provides a thorough introduction to the cards, recommendations for use, advice for using them within workshops and other organisational settings, and tips on using them for reflection.
- 'Remember that academic life is marginal to many people'
- 'Theory may be off-putting'
- 'Work across generations'
- 'When grant funding ends, the work does not'
