Delve into the world of photography and learn how to get off the 'auto' setting with our one-day beginners' course. Topics covered include:
- shutter speed
- white balance
- simple composition
- capturing fast moving objects
- depth of field

This course will take place on Saturday 9 March 2019 from 10am - 2pm at Knowle West Media Centre, Leinster Avenue, Bristol, BS4 1NL.

Please bring a USB or external hard drive or be ready to back up your photos to your cloud service provider.
A camera is provided for you to use during the course but please bring your own if you would like to.
About the Tutor
Alistair Campbell is a professional portrait photographer who specialises in photographing people and fashion. Alistair studied video and cinematography and went onto build a freelance career in photography. In 2016 he became the Portrait Photographer of the year with the British Institute of Professional Photography (BIPP).

This course will be confirmed to run when a minimum number of bookings have been secured. In the event that your course doesn't go ahead, you will be notified within 48 hours of the course start date and will be given a full refund. We cannot refund any pre-booked travel costs you may have incurred in preparing to travel to this course. All sales are final and refunds cannot be provided in the event of you cancelling your order.
Knowle West Media Centre is fully accessible for wheelchair users and can cater for other specific access requirements.
Our staff are not BSL trained, however we can book an interpreter via Bristol City Council. When booking your place on the course, please let us know that you will require this (see below).
We can provide worksheets in large print.
Personal assistants are welcome to attend the workshops with you, please let us know in advance.
